Dear colleagues, we are delighted to invite you to the 2026 Annual Congress of the Central European Diabetes Association (CEDA), which will take place from 25 to 27 June 2026 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
The conference will be organized by the German Diabetes Center (DDZ) at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf (HHU) – a place where translational and clinical diabetes research intersect closely. The congress aims to foster intensive exchange between established experts and the next generation of scientists and clinicians from Central, Eastern, and Southern Europe, promoting dialogue on how new research findings can shape and improve clinical practice.
This year’s program will highlight key areas of growing importance in modern diabetology, including the heterogeneity of diabetes, the broad spectrum of diabetes-related complications, emerging therapeutic possibilities and innovations, as well as dedicated industry symposia.
We warmly encourage you to submit abstracts presenting new research results in all areas related to diabetes. Abstracts must be submitted by 31 March 2026 through the official CEDA website and will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee. All individuals whose abstracts have been accepted are requested to present their work as a poster during the CEDA. All accepted abstracts will be published in the official CEDA journal "Diabetes, Stoffwechsel und Herz".
To further support the next generation researchers, CEDA will award ten travel grants of 500 euros each to the best abstracts submitted by young scientists within the CEDA community, not older than 40 years (declaration of age required) and who are not eligible to other forms of support. The recipients of these Travel Grants will also have free registration to the Congress.
The conference will take place at MNR-Building 13.55, University Hospital Düsseldorf, Lecture Halls 13A and 13B, Moorenstraße 5, 40225 Düsseldorf.
